WEETABIX RECIPE

 

Ingredients:-

3 Weetabix

200g (7oz) sultanas

200g (7oz) dark brown sugar

300ml (½ pint) milk

1 (size 3) egg.  Beaten

225g (8oz) self-raising flour, sieved

 

 

●          Grease a 900g (2lb) loaf tin.

 

●          Place the Weetabix, sultanas and sugar in a large bowl.

 

●          Pour in the milk, cover the bowl and leave the stand in a cool place overnight.

 

●          Set the oven to 180°c, 350 °F (gas mark 4)

 

●          Add the egg and flour and mix well.

 

●          Back for 1½ hours until firm to the touch.

 

●          Leave to cool and serve sliced plain or buttered
